The culinary approach of Caelis chef Romain Fornell and his team is contemporary and involves the reinterpretation of tradition and the avant-garde in his own creations. Daring, passion and balance define him. Caelis is a tasting menu restaurant (we offer three menus, one of which is vegetarian).

In addition, at lunchtime, from Wednesday to Saturday, we offer a lunch menu, Menú Caelis (60 euros, VAT included), which changes every week. The space has two distinct areas: on the one hand, the dining room, which can seat up to 28 diners at tables of different sizes (maximum of 8). On the other, there is an open kitchen around which there is a U-shaped chef’s table with high chairs for up to 14 more people, who can watch live everything that goes on behind the cooker. Romain Fornell opened the doors of Caelis in 2004 and, a year later, was awarded a Michelin star. In 2014 Caelis was voted Gold Standard Restaurants 2014 by Conde Nast Traveler. In 2017 Caelis moved to the Hotel Ohla Barcelona. The change of location was also a turning point in the gastronomic proposal and so, in the new phase, it became more contemporary and less classic. January 2018 saw the launch of Caelis Privé, the private room of Caelis, one of Romain’s most personal projects.

Caelis Privé is a room in which to hold private lunches and dinners. It is presided over by a large screen connected to a camera that broadcasts live everything that takes place in the Caelis kitchen, which makes it exceptionally unique. The gastronomic proposal of Caelis Privé is ad-hoc (menus specially designed for this space and different from the tasting menus). The room has a capacity for up to 28 people and a minimum of 15 people, seated at an imperial table. Year after year, Caelis has revalidated its Michelin star, a star that continues to illuminate our tables.
